Magazzini del Cotone

Porto Antico di Genova – Centro Congressi
Calata Molo Vecchio 15
16128 Genova, Italia

Magazzini del Cotone, located in Porto Antico of Genoa, were built between 1889 and 1926 as warehouses for storing cotton. After being damaged during World War II, they were renovated in 1992 on the occasion of the Columbian Expo, held to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the discovery of America. The buildings were transformed into a modern, multifunctional space.

Today, they host not only a convention center but also a multiplex cinema, shops, restaurants, the “Città dei Bambini” and interactive exhibitions. They represent an important cultural, educational, and recreational hub for the city.

Structured in 7 modules on 4 floors of the homonymous building, the Congress Center has an Auditorium with 1,480 seats, which can be split into two mirror halves, original for its theatrical layout and the central location of the stage; 13 rooms of various capacities, 8,500 square meters of spaces that can be set up in different configurations as well as outdoor spaces overlooking the sea along the quay of the Molo Vecchio.
